Tottenham Hotspur and the National Football League (NFL) last year announced the expansion of their partnership through the 2029 - 2030 NFL season. As part of the agreement, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has been given official status as the Home of the NFL in the UK.

It is the only stadium purpose-built for NFL games outside of the US, with bespoke facilities including its own playing surface, locker rooms and media areas.

Many of the activations enjoyed by fans in and around the stadium on gamedays are delivered by local people as the NFL has embraced the community of Tottenham. It is an example of the wider community benefits delivered through the stadium development, supporting 3,700 jobs for local people.

Through staging major events such as NFL, boxing, rugby and concerts, as well as Premier League football and additional Visitor Attractions, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has become a new sports and entertainment destination for London, bringing a boost of circa £344m to the local economy every year.

Creating additional recurring sources of revenue to reinvest in our football activities is a key part of the Club’s financial model.

Ryan Norys, Chief Revenue Officer, Tottenham Hotspur, said: “We look forward to welcoming the four teams and their fans to London N17 in October, along with all the vibrancy and colour NFL Gamedays bring to our neighbourhood every year. The London Games coming to Tottenham has a huge impact on our local economy, contributing to the £344m GVA generated across our local boroughs every year by stadium events, supporting 3,700 jobs for local people.”

Henry Hodgson, GM NFL U.K. & Ireland, said: “The 2024 NFL London Games promise to be a football spectacle once again for fans in the U.K. and beyond. We have played games in London since 2007, and there has never been greater interest in the sport here. We look forward to welcoming the teams to the capital later this year, engaging new fans and bringing the game to new audiences.”

Hymie Elhai, New York Jets President, said: “We are excited to have the opportunity to play against the Minnesota Vikings at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this upcoming season. Over the last few years, we have seen our roots grow in the United Kingdom, as we have worked to expand our fan base beyond our domestic borders. This will be yet another opportunity to entertain and engage with our fans in the United Kingdom and showcase the best of the New York Jets on British soil.”
