Leading agencies and corporate clients are now prioritising venues with ECOsmart certification when selecting and shortlisting locations for their events. Achieving Platinum status places us in a strong position to attract top-level clients to the stadium and supports our long-term sustainability and commercial goals.
ECOsmart Platinum certification (often styled ECOsmart Platinum) is the highest level of sustainability certification offered under the ECOsmart accreditation system run by Greengage Solutions, mainly for hotels, meeting venues, and hospitality-related organisations. It recognises organisations that demonstrate outstanding environmental and sustainability performance across a broad range of criteria.
What ECOsmart Platinum means
* Top tier level: Platinum is the highest award in the ECOsmart system (above Bronze, Silver, and Gold) and is reserved for organisations with the most advanced sustainability practices.
* Comprehensive assessment: The certification assesses how well an organisation performs in key sustainability areas such as energy use, water conservation, waste management, carbon reduction, responsible procurement, and social responsibility.
* Highest standards: To achieve Platinum, organisations must typically score very highly across all assessed areas (e.g., average score of 85 % or more) and successfully undergo a site inspection / validation audit to confirm that claimed practices are genuinely implemented.
* Credibility and leadership: Platinum status identifies the organisation as an industry leader in sustainability, giving confidence to guests, clients, and stakeholders that environmental stewardship is embedded in daily operations and planning.
